Are you looking for a way to reward your staff for a job well done? While there is nothing wrong with relying on traditional favorites, you should consider getting creative the next time around.
Here are five creative ways to reward your staff (some are free, some will cost you a little bit of money):
1. Throw them a pizza party. Despite the fact that this sounds a bit “elementary school,
” it is a great way to show your employees that you care about them. Who doesn’t love free pizza at lunchtime?
2. Provide tickets to a local event, such as a concert or sports match. Not only is this a thoughtful reward, but it will give your staff the chance to spend time together outside of the office.
3. Add something exciting to the office. How would your employees feel about a new video game system in the break room? What about a ping pong table? As long as you can trust your staff not to abuse the privilege, adding some sort of leisure activity makes for a nice reward.
4. Declare a “dress down” day. Instead of wearing traditional business attire, give your staff the chance to come to work in jeans and a t-shirt. You may be surprised at how happy (and comfortable) this makes people.
5. A free day off. Let’s face it: people gravitate towards jobs that offer a large number of vacation days. By offering an additional paid day of vacation, you can be rest assured that your staff will be grateful.
Tip: if a full day off is too much, offer a half-day or a couple of hours.
No matter why you are looking to reward your staff, there are many ways of doing so. Consider the five creative options detailed above.
